Explore creative financing for business growth at upcoming roundtable


What is it: Get an introduction to creative financing opportunities for business expansion and relocation at the Creative Financing Roundtable, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 at the Neely Center, 2830 Napoleon Road, Fremont.

The roundtable, the first 5-county collaborative event by representatives from Erie, Huron, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Seneca counties, will come together to discuss the benefits of using port authorities for collaborative projects, according to information from the Greater Sandusky Partnership. The event’s featured speaker, Rob McCarthy of Bricker Graydon, will share his insights, as will those on a panel regarding the process for using the Capital Lease Program from the Erie County Port Authority.

This is the first 5-county collaborative event brought together by the teams from Greater Sandusky Partnership, Huron County Growth Partnership, Ottawa County Improvement Corporation, Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation and Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership.

What to expect: The afternoon schedule includes:
  • 11 a.m.: Welcome from Beth Hannam, Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation
  • 11:15 a.m.: Introduction to Erie County Port Authority, Eric Wobser, Greater Sandusky Partnership
  • 11:30 a.m.: lunch
  • 11:30 a.m.: The Benefits to utilizing Port Authorities in Ohio, Rob McCarthy, Bricker Graydon
  • 12:15 p.m.: Panel Discussion: Cross-County Collaboration, Voices from Ottawa and Erie counties will share the process for a collaborative project using the Capital LEase Program from Erie County Port Authority
