Emily Messino joins Shores & Islands Ohio staff

What is it: Emily Messino recently joined the staff of Shores & Islands Ohio, the area’s destination marketing organization. Messino, of Marblehead, has taken on the position of partner relations manager.

Messino’s duties with Shores & Islands Ohio include building relationships and serving as the main point-of-contact with area tourism industry partners. She is responsible for partner package sales including travel guide and website advertising and other special promotions. Messino is part of the organization’s Destination Development and Visitor Experience Team.

"I'm excited to learn more about the region and meet new people,” Messino says. “I want to develop new partnerships and grow existing partnerships to help local businesses achieve their goals.”

Meet Messino: Previously, Messino served as director of events at Gideon Owen Wine Company and was vice president of hospitality, manager of conference and events, and other positions at Lakeside Chautauqua.

A graduate of the University of Mount Union, Messino moved to the area after an internship with Lakeside Chautauqua. She was a recipient of the S&IO Honorable Mention S.H.O.R.E. Hospitality award for her work at Gideon Owen.
