What is it: Kaiella Brooke Mama & Kids Boutique, 519 Main St., Huron, offers fun, affordable styles for fashion-minded moms and kids alike.
Inspiration for the business: The boutique’s unique name comes from the names of owner Ashley Dickman’s three daughters: Kailyn, Ella and Brooke. Dickman credits the girls for inspiring her to open the shop.

“I have three daughters and I love finding cute clothes for them,” Dickman says via an email interview. “I never was able to find cute boutique-type clothing locally and at affordable prices. I thought [a boutique] would be nice to have around here for everyone, so I started the business online. In December, one of my many goals came true and we finally got a storefront!”
What is offered: The storefront has allowed for Dickman, a 2006 Edison High School graduate, to showcase not only her clothing finds, but also accessories for women and children.
“We started out as solely a children’s boutique, but I wanted to expand a bit into women’s clothing as well so moms can come to our shop and are able to shop for themselves along with their little ones,” Dickman says. “I know mama life can be crazy and chaotic and the ease of having everything in one place just made sense.”
The location: Dickman chose a storefront in Huron because of the sense of community it provides. She prides herself on basing her business on family and community.
“Huron has always been so welcoming to us whenever we had pop-up shops there,” Dickman says. “We have always felt nothing but support from their tight-knit community.”
