Cedar Point is No. 1.
After compiling reports and ratings from outlets including Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Google, social casino site Hello Millions has deemed Cedar Point as the highest-rated theme park in the U.S.
“The park’s picturesque location, history, food, and options for little ones make it the number one must-visit theme park in America,” according to the report.
Hello Millions notes that Cedar Point takes the top spot after powerhouses Universal Studios, Universal Orlando, Disney World, and DisneyLand are excluded from the results.
The study analyzed ratings of more than 500 amusement parks and then removed any ratings that referenced The Walt Disney Company or Universal Destinations and then ranked the remaining top 10, according to a recent report from
Crain’s Cleveland Business.
Cedar Point’s 4.5-star rating on TripAdvisor and 4.6-star rating on Google catapulted the park’s rating over the No. 2 spot, SeaWorld Orlando.
“The Cedar Point team works very hard to make people happy and provide the best experience for those who visit, whether they’re coming from our region or around the world,” says Tony Clark, Cedar Point’s director of communications. “Any time the park receives an honor such as this, it’s a testament to the world-class experience we provide and we’re so very happy to receive this honor.”
The honor is one that benefits not just Cedar Point, but the Greater Sandusky Region as a whole.
“It’s always exciting to see Cedar Point recognized as what we know to be one of the best amusement parks in the country,” says Jill Bauer, public relations manager for Shores & Islands Ohio. “Any time one of our local partners is recognized in any kind of Top 10 list or ‘best of’ article, it means more eyes on our entire destination, which is good for everyone. The additional promotion brings attention to the Shores & Islands Ohio region in the best way possible and hopefully encourages more people to visit.”
The distinction also helps to highlight the uniqueness and beauty of the City of Sandusky and its surrounding areas.
