When you think of St. Patrick’s Day, a few symbols come to mind.
Leprechauns.
Pots of gold.
The color green.
And, if you’re in Sandusky, Daly’s Pub.
Daly’s has been a St. Patrick’s Day celebration headquarters for more than 25 years, and owners Dave and Lainie Bier wouldn’t have it any other way.
“It is such a fun day for all of us,” says the duo, who have owned the bar since 1998. “It is something that our entire staff looks forward to and even previous employees ask us to be guest bartenders for that day.”
If customers weren’t already flocking to the bar on that day, they most certainly will that St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Friday.
“We think any day of the week people like to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, but maybe a little more on a Friday since they most likely don’t work the next day,” the Biers say.
Customers can take advantage of the holiday specials no matter what time of day they visit Daly’s. The establishment will open at 8 a.m. with Kegs & Eggs with breakfast specials and then offer lunch and dinner specials through closing at around 1:30 a.m.
Specials include corned beef, perch and sauerkraut, including reuben pizza, reuben wraps, perch reubens, reuben egg rolls and Irish stew. Irish beers, green beer and Irish car bombs will be on special all day as well.
“Our wonderful customers, old and new alike, really enjoy themselves as they look forward to the amazing food, cold beer and Irish music playing,” the Biers say. “People will enjoy dancing and securing free swag from our many vendors.”
For those who want to celebrate throughout Sandusky on that day, the Biers have you covered.
“Our sister establishments, The Shore House Tavern and Landmark kitchen & bar, will have their own spins of St. Patrick’s Day specials,” the Biers say.
