A beloved annual experience Huron locals and visitors have come to enjoy year after year is the Huron Lake Front Market.
This event, historically coordinated and managed by the Huron Chamber of Commerce, is a one-and-a-half-day market featuring live music, food trucks, fun activities and over 40 different local vendors – makers, bakers and more.
The event took place June 7
and 8
and was coordinated by the
Greater Sandusky Partnership following the partnership’s recent integration with the
Huron Chamber of Commerce.

Greater Sandusky Partnership’s Events and Programming Manager, Peyton Minich, coordinated the event this year.
“The Huron Lake Front Market welcomed community members to shop, dine, and celebrate the beginning of the summer season in our Great Lake Place,'' Minich says. “With over 50 vendors, seven food trucks, five young entrepreneurs, and four local musicians- all nestled in Lake Front Park alongside the scenic lake views, the event was truly a blast.”
Vendors noted the positive experiences they had at this year's market:
“The Huron Lake Front Market speaks so well to our local community with its manageable size and variety of goods. It offers plenty of family activities, green space and photo opportunities. Our little flower truck, Robyn, is always so well received and sells out quickly! Our hometown is incredibly supportive and was delighted to have the market open to the public both days! As a vendor, I was also!”
- Sarah Gilbert, owner of Sweet Pea Flower Truck
“As a 13-year-old entrepreneur, I depend on the Huron Lake Front Market every year. This was my second year selling my products, and I had a VERY successful turnout. I almost sold out! As I mentioned earlier, this is a great market for entrepreneurs to sell at. For those under 18, this market is FREE to set up. This is super helpful since our profits greatly increase. I also love the fact that the entrepreneurs didn’t have to stay the whole time. Since I almost sold out, it was nice to leave early. I would highly recommend setting up a booth even if you aren’t a young entrepreneur because the turnout was phenomenal. It was totally worth it!”
