Erie County recently received some serious love from
Business View Magazine, being the subject of
a feature article in November and earning a “Best Managed Communities, 2024” award from the Sanibel, Florida-based publishing company.
The article touts the county’s efforts to build a
“year-round hub” of economic activity in what has long been a region most closely associated with generating revenue by bringing folks in during the summer months to visit attractions such as Cedar Point in Sandusky. It details those efforts, of course, but also touches on topics such as retail, manufacturing, health care and infrastructure.
“The feature showcases Erie County’s efforts in regional collaboration, infrastructure development and economic progress and underscores the county’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life while driving economic vitality across the Greater Sandusky region,” states a news release from the
Greater Sandusky Partnership.
Says Erie County Commissioner Patrick Shenigo in the release, “This acknowledgment reflects the hard work and dedication of those who contribute to making Erie County a dynamic and thriving place to live and work. It’s an honor to be celebrated for our ongoing commitment to progress and excellence.”
The article concludes with a look to the future, with Shenigo promising that money saved over the years will be invested in the county’s infrastructure and people.
In the release, Eric Wobser, CEO of the Greater Sandusky Partnership, expressed his gratitude for the honor: “This recognition is a testament to the collaborative efforts of our public and private partners, who work tirelessly to position Erie County as a leader in innovation and regional growth. We are proud to see our shared vision recognized on a national stage.”
In 2024, Business View Publishing launched the Best in Business Awards series, according to the news release. Their research team, senior producers, executives and editor select the businesses, cities and communities to earn a Best in title.
While mentioned in the article,
Perkins Township is the subject of another Business View article published at the same time.
