RISE program launches digital guide to boost local businesses on Small Business Saturday

In an effort to support local businesses and promote economic growth, the Regional  Incubator for Sustainability and Entrepreneurship (RISE) has launched a digital guide for Small Business Saturday. This shared program between the Huron County Growth  Partnership and Greater Sandusky Partnership aims to encourage community members to shop locally and explore the unique offerings of Erie County and Huron County establishments.

The digital guide is designed to showcase special promotions, discounts, and offers from  local retail and food/beverage businesses. With a focus on boosting the local economy, the RISE program is making it easier than ever for residents to discover and  support small businesses.

The local business communities in both Erie and Huron counties are thriving, with a  diverse array of businesses offering unique experiences and products. Visitors can enjoy cozy coffee shops like Sheri's Coffee House in Norwalk and Cold Creek Coffee in Castalia, or explore boutiques such as Old Soul Woodworking in Monroeville and Erie &  Anchor in Vermillion. Foodies will delight in spots like Maca Root in Sandusky or Norwalk  Pizza Post.

For those seeking locally crafted goods, Common Good Collective in Norwalk is a must stop shop. Kate’s Candles in New London, Luxury Floral Arrangements located in Willard, and Island Sham Farmhouse in Sandusky provide a unique shopping  experience. These local gems are just a few examples of the many businesses that make Erie and Huron counties vibrant and thriving places to live, work, and visit.

The digital guide is accessible via QR codes displayed at partner shops, the RISE  Facebook page, libraries in both counties, Shores and Islands Ohio, Huron County Growth Partnership, Greater Sandusky Partnership, along with other area visitors' bureaus. This user-friendly approach ensures that residents can effortlessly browse and take advantage of the various deals and offers during Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30. “As Small Business Saturday approaches on Nov. 30, we encourage everyone in  Erie and Huron counties to join us in celebrating and supporting our local businesses,” says RISE Coordinator Cydney Salmons. “By shopping small and exploring the unique offerings of our local establishments, we not only invest in the success of our community but also contribute to the continued growth and prosperity of the region. Let's come together to make this Small Business Saturday a memorable one for our hardworking entrepreneurs and business owners.”

RISE encourages residents to explore the digital guide, plan their routes, and discover hidden gems in their neighborhoods.
